I’ve worked in technology my entire career but when I was replacing a broken wired garage door opener with arcade buttons I realized I had no clue what I was doing. I couldn’t tell you the difference between wires or what was happening beyond randomly stripping wires and connecting them to see what happens. My method worked for what I figured was a low voltage / risk project , but I would like to know more and eventually be able wire a raspberry pi for hobby projects / be able to manage more complex work. Is there a good place to start / has anyone started from nearly 0 and found some good resources?
